Rooted in Nairobi, Growing for the Future
Risto za Nai is a city-rooted movement with a green heart. Our mission is to inspire, inform, and involve Nairobians in building a greener city — one where trees, parks, gardens, and nature-based solutions are part of daily urban life.
Our work lives at the intersection of people and planet. We:
- Inspire action through storytelling and design
- Inform decisions through data and dialogue
- Involve residents through hands-on programs
- Invest in projects that leave lasting green impact
We believe that green spaces are not a luxury — they are essential infrastructure for well-being, equity, and climate resilience.
Lazima igrow
Coupled with storytelling, we will be working with local people of all walks of life – watu wa ground who, once reminded and inspired to take action will shape what they want their green and in-between spaces should look like.
igrow – Referring to the re-greening activities around the project. Can be read two ways; In English, I grow signifying an individual’s growth and Kiswahili, i grow (it grows) pointing to nature growing and flourishing.
